Ryan Schrand, a former police chief of North College Hill, Ohio, has filed a lawsuit against the City of North College Hill alleging wrongful termination based on race and age discrimination. The case was filed in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio. Schrand claims he was placed on involuntary administrative leave and subsequently terminated without just cause, following an investigation that yielded no credible evidence against him. He alleges his termination was racially motivated and due to his age, as he is over 40 years old. Schrand seeks reinstatement, damages, attorney fees, and other relief under Title VII and the Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA). His attorney is Mark J. Byrne from Jacobs Kleinman Seibel & McNally LPA.
