A Miami resident is taking legal action against a group of individuals and companies in Ohio, alleging fraud and breach of contract related to investment deals. On January 30, 2026, Maria Escudero filed a complaint in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio against Alejandra Alvarado, Manuel Alvarado, Kamehameha Capital LLC, Pipiles LLC, and 171 Green Meadows LLC.

The case revolves around two investment agreements that Ms. Escudero entered into with the defendants. The first deal was made in September 2023 when Ms. Escudero invested $10,000 in Pipiles LLC after being assured by Alejandra Alvarado that she would receive a return of 10% annually and could withdraw her funds without penalty at any time. Encouraged by initial returns, she later invested $50,000 in March 2024 in a similar agreement with Green Meadows LLC. Both investments were managed by Kamehameha Capital LLC, where Alejandra Alvarado held a managerial position alongside Manuel Alvarado.

However, issues arose when payments to Ms. Escudero ceased in September 2024. Despite repeated attempts to contact the defendants for an explanation or to withdraw her funds as initially promised, Ms. Escudero received no response. The complaint accuses the defendants of using deceptive business practices and failing to fulfill their contractual obligations. It further alleges that the Alvarados exercised complete control over the involved companies to such an extent that they had no independent existence and engaged in fraudulent activities.

Ms. Escudero’s lawsuit seeks damages for breach of contract and unjust enrichment against Pipiles LLC and Green Meadows LLC, as well as claims of fraudulent inducement and negligent misrepresentation against Alejandra Alvarado individually. Additionally, she accuses both Alejandra and Manuel Alvarado of violating RICO statutes through their alleged fraudulent schemes involving multiple victims.

In her pursuit of justice, Ms. Escudero is asking the court for monetary damages to be determined at trial along with reasonable attorneys’ fees and costs associated with litigation efforts thus far undertaken on her behalf by Ridge Law LLC based out of Upper Arlington Ohio; Ayala Law P.A., representing from Miami Florida; Eduardo A Maura Esq.; Kristen N Schlotzhauer Esq.; who have all joined forces seeking redressal under this jurisdictional purview before Judge Michael H Watson presiding over proceedings marked under Case ID: 2:26-cv-00107-MHW-KAJ.
