Reese Property Investments, LLC has filed a lawsuit against an Ohio-based individual and two entities he controls, accusing them of orchestrating a fraudulent investment scheme. The complaint was lodged in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio on November 21, 2025, targeting Robert D. Scott Jr., Another Chance Solutions LLC, and Another Chance, Inc.

The lawsuit stems from what Reese Property Investments describes as an elaborate fraud devised by Scott, who allegedly used his position as a self-proclaimed pastor and community leader to lure the plaintiff into a deceptive real estate investment. According to the complaint, Scott presented Reese Property Investments with a proposal to acquire and redevelop property owned by Living Harvest Church of God in Springfield, Ohio. The plan was to transform it into a medical facility serving underserved populations. However, the plaintiff claims that this proposal was based on false financial projections and misrepresentations about existing contracts and funding guarantees.

Scott allegedly convinced Reese Property Investments to provide $287,000 in funding by promising various benefits such as transferring property title to the plaintiff after acquisition, leasing back the property from them, developing the medical center, and sharing profits. The plaintiff asserts that these promises were made under false pretenses since Scott had no intention or capability to follow through with them.

After receiving payments from Reese Property Investments, Scott reportedly forged documents with the Ohio Secretary of State to falsely present himself as the church’s registered agent. He then signed deeds transferring property ownership through fraudulent means. Public records later revealed that these transactions were based on forged documents and misrepresentations about his affiliations with the church.

Reese Property Investments is seeking actual and consequential damages along with restitution for funds paid under false pretenses. They are also demanding punitive damages due to what they describe as willful and malicious conduct by Scott and his entities. Additionally, they request attorneys’ fees and costs incurred during this legal battle.

Representing Reese Property Investments are attorneys Zackary L. Stillings from Frost Brown Todd LLP’s Columbus office and William B. Decker III from their Louisville office. The case is presided over by Judge James L. Graham with Case ID 2:25-cv-01365-JLG-KAJ.
