Integrity Express Logistics, LLC has filed a lawsuit against a former employee for allegedly breaching restrictive covenants and misappropriating trade secrets. The complaint was filed on February 27, 2026, in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio against Logan Riley.

The case revolves around allegations that Logan Riley, a former Logistics Account Executive at Integrity Express Logistics (IEL), violated non-competition and confidentiality agreements after leaving the company. According to the complaint, Riley began working with Freight Flex, a competing logistics brokerage, immediately after his departure from IEL on March 3, 2025. IEL claims that Riley’s actions have resulted in significant financial losses and irreparable harm to their business. The plaintiff alleges that Riley solicited IEL’s customers and used confidential information gained during his employment to benefit himself and Freight Flex. This conduct is said to be in direct violation of the Non-Competition, Non-Solicitation, and Confidentiality Agreement he signed upon joining IEL on August 7, 2023.

IEL’s complaint details how Riley had access to sensitive information such as customer lists, pricing structures, sales strategies, and proprietary software during his tenure at the company. The logistics firm argues that this information constitutes trade secrets under Ohio law and accuses Riley of misappropriating these secrets to compete unlawfully with IEL. Despite being sent cease-and-desist letters by IEL demanding compliance with the agreement terms and cessation of competitive activities, both Riley and Freight Flex allegedly ignored these demands.

In seeking redress from the court, Integrity Express Logistics is asking for preliminary and permanent injunctive relief to prevent further violations of the agreement by Riley. They are also pursuing damages exceeding $499,835.87 for breach of contract as well as additional compensation for breach of duty of loyalty and misappropriation of trade secrets. The lawsuit highlights the competitive nature of the freight brokerage industry and underscores IEL’s efforts to protect its business interests through legal action.

Representing Integrity Express Logistics in this case are attorneys J.B Lind, Elizabeth A. Callan, and Alexandra T. Kubala from Vorys, Sater, Seymour & Pease LLP based in Cincinnati, Ohio. The defendant is represented by Greg Mansell from Mansell Law LLC in Columbus, Ohio. The case has been assigned Case ID: 1:26-cv-00214-DRC.
