A Summit County resident, Adam Kline, 23, of Mogadore, Ohio, has been sentenced to 12 years in federal prison for receiving and distributing child pornography on a social media platform. The sentencing was handed down by U.S. District Judge Bridget Meehan Brennan following Kline’s guilty plea in May.
Kline admitted to the receipt and distribution of visual depictions involving real minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct, as well as possession of child sexual abuse materials (CSAM). He will also serve 15 years of supervised release after his prison term, pay $23,000 in special assessments, and provide $3,000 in restitution to an identified victim.
Court documents indicate that between January 9 and May 21, 2024, Kline knowingly distributed computer files containing images of real minors involved in sexually explicit acts. Among the materials was at least one image depicting a prepubescent minor under the age of 12.
Federal agents linked several accounts on a popular social media platform to Kline during their investigation. Authorities found approximately 675 sadistic and masochistic CSAM images in his possession.
The FBI Akron Field Office led the investigation into this case. Assistant United States Attorney Joseph P. Dangelo prosecuted the matter.
