The United States Attorney’s Office has announced that federal grand juries in the Northern District of Ohio have indicted three Mexican nationals for illegal reentry into the United States. These cases are separate and not related.
Raul Samano-Fuerte, 49, is charged with one count of illegal reentry. He was previously removed from the U.S. four times, most recently on March 10, 2009. On June 23, 2025, he was found in Norwalk, Ohio without consent for readmission.
Gonzalo Diaz-Resendiz, 29, faces a charge of illegal reentry after being removed at least once before; his last removal was on September 6, 2013. He was discovered in Ottawa, Ohio on June 30, 2025 without proper authorization to return.
Cesar Ramirez-Velazquez (also known as Cesar Ramirez-Rincon), 44, is charged with illegal reentry following two previous removals—the latest on June 7, 2009—and was found again in Norwalk on March 19, 2024. Additionally, he faces charges for possessing fraudulent identification documents and misuse of a Social Security Number.
The investigations were conducted by the U.S. Border Patrol-Sandusky Bay Station and Assistant U.S. Attorney Ava Rotell Dustin is handling the prosecution.
An indictment serves as a charge and does not constitute evidence of guilt; each defendant will receive a fair trial where the government must prove guilt beyond reasonable doubt.
If convicted, sentencing will be determined by the Court based on case-specific factors such as prior criminal records and roles in offenses.
These cases are part of Operation Take Back America aimed at combating illegal immigration and transnational crime while protecting communities from violent criminals.
