A Cuyahoga County resident has received a 10-year federal prison sentence for his involvement in trafficking fentanyl in Northeast Ohio. Andree L. Padgett, 35, of Euclid, was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Dan Aaron Polster after pleading guilty in April to conspiracy to distribute controlled substances, distribution of a controlled substance, and being a felon in possession of a firearm. Padgett had prior drug trafficking convictions from 2016 and 2023.

The sentencing also includes four years of supervised release following his imprisonment. Judge Polster imposed the sentence on August 28, 2025.

Court records show that between June 27 and July 13, 2023, Padgett worked with two other individuals to sell illegal substances containing fentanyl throughout Northeast Ohio. The group sold more than 300 grams of fentanyl during this period. On two occasions, Padgett also sold six firearms along with the drugs.

Due to his extensive criminal record, Padgett was classified as a career offender.

Two co-defendants were previously sentenced for their roles in the conspiracy. Ambray N. Underwood, 27, of Cleveland received nine years in prison and three years of supervised release. Tashaun N. Bell, 24, of Maple Heights was sentenced to nearly four years in prison and three years of supervised release.

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) conducted the investigation. Assistant United States Attorneys Brian S. Deckert and Matthew W. Shepherd prosecuted the case for the Northern District of Ohio.

“Andree L. Padgett, 35, of Euclid, Ohio, was sentenced to 120 months (10 years) in prison by U.S. District Judge Dan Aaron Polster after pleading guilty in April to the following charges:

“According to court documents, from about June 27 to about July 13, 2023, Padgett, along with two other co-conspirators, knowingly participated in selling illegal substances containing fentanyl throughout Northeast Ohio.”

“In total, the members of this conspiracy sold over 300 grams of fentanyl. Additionally, on two separate occasions, Padgett sold a total of six firearms along with the fentanyl.”

“Because of the defendant’s significant criminal history, he was designated a career offender.”
